Kimberley Alpine Resort has prepared a draft Resort Master Plan and submitted an application to the Mountain Resorts Branch (MRB) of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport, to convert our existing Licence of Occupation to an Operating Agreement (OA). MRB is initiating consultation with First Nations, agencies, stakeholders and the public on the draft Resort Master Plan and the OA.

The Resort Master Plan is a guiding document that identifies the current extent and development of the resort, as well as concepts for future development.

Highlights of the draft Resort Master Plan include:

• Focus on continuing to offer a high-quality experience consistent with current resort offerings.
• Winter activities will continue to focus on lift accessed downhill skiing and snowboarding as well as other winter sports.
• All-seasons activities are anticipated to expand in scope, with respect to weddings, events, and hiking and (non-lift facilitated) biking within the base area.
• The extent of the resort will remain unchanged, however, minor additions and adjustments to agreement boundaries are proposed.
• Future infrastructure upgrades and lift re-alignments, as required.
• Future possible development of warming huts, washroom facilities, small maintenance building structures, and infrastructure to service an expanded ski learning area and children’s play area.

Kimberley Alpine Resort is comprised of both private and Crown Land, with resort development located primarily on private land parcels.
