Black Spur Ultra 2026

START TIME 08/22/2026 at 8AM
END TIME 08/23/2026 at 10AM
LOCATION Kimberley Alpine Resort

108k • 54k • 21k • Relay

Black Spur Ultra is wrought from the winding, technical single track that trail runners dream about. No pavement, big climbs through rugged terrain, immaculate trails, and stunning scenery. Hosted at Kimberley Alpine Resort, you can walk to the start line right from your hotel room.

The race has 108k and 54k distance options. Solo either distance, or run on a team. The 108k is open to teams of up to six and the 54k teams of two or three. For soloists, the race course is a qualifier for UTMB. We now offer a Kids Race for those who bring their kiddos to the event.

Kimberley is a secluded gem nestled between the Purcell and Rocky mountains. With an extensive network of single and double track trails accessible right from the edge of town, Kimberley is a natural choice for a mountain ultra. Kimberley is also the highest elevation city in Canada.

This race offers a ridiculous amount of single track on Kimberley's extensive trail network, plus a little goat trail action. Kimberley is the perfect place for a mountain getaway on your own, or with the family.

Hosted out of Kimberley Alpine Resort, it's also the easiest race out there for support crews; set up in the central plaza and you never have to move.
